I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my little Bose bluetooth speaker SOOOOOO MUCH! I have always used JBL Clip 2, 3 speakers in the past because I could just clip it in the shower, on my beach bag, on my bike – and go – But I found they always seemed to “cut out”, & I had to replace pretty frequently- I USED THEM A LOT! The sound was okay… but I always wanted louder – more bass – etc! And those JBL didn’t hold a charge very long… WELL THIS LITTLE BOSE SPEAKER IS AMAZING! There isnt a built in clip – but there is a nylon loop that a carabiner fits through and works the same way! This little powerhouse holds a charge for what seems like FOREVER.. with constant playing I think I got 12hrs out of a full charge (every time you connect to it a voice comes on and tells you how much battery you have left 🤯)The construction on this speaker is so STURDY- All metal facing, with ruberized/silicone bottom/backing so it doesn’t slip – and it will withstand water, sand, etc without rusting or corroding! AND THIS SPEAKER CAN FLOAT (I don’t know that I would float it around the pool with me- but I guess I could 🤷♀️)!!!! The SOUND – It has FULL – RICH tones including DEEP BASS (not going to a rave – shake the house bass), The volume is really really great for the size of the speaker- I haven’t actually turned it all the way up yet – But I’ve not needed to for what I’ve used it for because it goes plenty loud for what I’ve needed so far! Oh.. And it connects via Bluetooth to their Bose App the first time it pairs and then you dont have to use the App anymore. I believe there is an EQ in the app too – but I haven’t looked for it yet🤷♀️I WISH I HAD BOUGHT MORE OF THESE when they were on Sale 😵 I’m kicking myself – Because I am totally in love with it! You will NOT REGRET this purchase!

I have a JBL Flip 4 that I’ve had for 5 years; a very handy speaker with decent sound and long battery life. I was wondering about getting a different Bluetooth speaker and I heard one of these at work that a coworker brought in.It had really good sound in a small package with extra bass but not to boomy; just a nice overall sound field. When I got the speaker delivered from Amazon, I tested it out with a variety of different music.Whether the speaker is facing forward or straight up, It has nice clarity and dynamic range, good bass response and it also allows you to talk or respond to messages because it has a built-in microphone. It sounds very good with music as well as podcasts. It paired very fast and easily , I also like how it shows the battery life on your iPhone widget screen whereas the JBL does not.I also bought a JBL Flip 6 to try out but the sound difference between this and that is striking. This has much better sound than the Flip 6. The cabinet feels smooth and rubbery and soft and it still is a small enough size for portability. The sound is even better when it’s near a wall or corner as it amplifies the bass response. Such as on the kitchen counter.Overall I am extremely pleased with the speaker and I believe it has fantastic sound for the size – much better than anything of similar size. Battery life is stated as 12 hrs. Yesterday I was playing it for 2-3 hrs. at 1/2 volume and it decreased only 10%.One gripe is that the USB-C charge cable is super short, only 20” long. So I ordered a 3-ft. Cable. The build quality appears excellent, and wow I am still amazed by how good it sounds. It is more expensive than the Flip 6, but if I enjoy it more, and plan to use it for the next 3-4 years, that price difference is small. What can I say? I love it.Additional information: have noticed now listening to it a few days that when your head is higher than the speaker and it is aiming forward, there seems to be less audio clarity and more bass but when I lay it flat where it aims up, there’s better audio clarity for speaking, Podcasts or music. So it appears that whatever your head level is and where the speaker is can affect the sound characteristics.I have also noticed that placing it near a wall, or in a corner, or on a counter under the cupboards significantly adds to the bass response. Overall, it has excellent sound, good battery life, and seems like a great speaker. In fact, I dictated all this additional info text from the speaker microphone to my phone.

Even almost three years later, and without any upgrades or new generations of the same product, the Bose Soundlink Flex remains the best portable speaker in all categories, period. It’s durable, extremely portable, has great connectivity, good app integration, satisfactory battery life and most importantly, it sounds amazing. I’ve used many portable speakers over the years, both from Bose’s top competitors, JBL and Ultimate Ears. What makes this speaker’s sound quality stand out from the rest is its sound signature. While other companies focus on making crisp, extremely defined highs and deep, rattling bass, Bose keeps it simple by balancing it all into one warm, pleasant sound signature. This is the only speaker I have ever used that hasn’t given me what I call “listening fatigue”. Other sound signatures from JBL and UE, while they still sound great, almost overemphasize the extremes of the sound spectrum to where they become tiring to listen to after a few hours of play. They almost have a slight hollow, droning sound, compared to the Bose, which sounds full and hearty. The Bose Soundlink Flex is the only portable speaker of its size that I feel like doesn’t drown itself out in it’s own noise. Every note is delivered perfectly and doesn’t interfere with other parts of the music. What makes this even more impressive is the size of this speaker. Other larger portable speakers, while louder, still do not sound as good as this little Bose. The best place to use this speaker is indoors in a small to medium sized space, preferably next to a wall, where it shines by delivering clear notes, warm mids and punchy bass. As for the outdoors, it still performs well, but will be underwhelming in terms of how loud it gets and how well you can identify the bass. However, expecting it to perform just as well outside and in large spaces would be unfair, as that is not what this speaker is made for. As for the use that it was intended, it is the perfect speaker and will continue to be a worthy purchase now and in the years to come.

I bought this as a speaker to have in the backyard. I’ve had Bose speakers before, so I expected the sound quality to be good and this one does not disappoint. The bluetooth works well. What surprised me most was what I actually use it for most of the time. I use 2 Bose bookshelf speakers for my Mac mini desktop computer at home. I have replaced both of those with this one Bose Soundlink Flex. It connects via bluetooth and stays plugged in via USB. I saved a ton of space getting rid of the bookshelf speakers and wired connections. The sound quality is as good if not better. And when I want to take the speaker with me somewhere else, I just unplug the USB cord and go. And with the Bose app, I could get another one and link them together for stereo sound. It is tempting. Very glad I purchased this and really pleased with the unexpected practicality of this speaker. Highly recommend.

Anyone who has tried to use a Bluetooth speaker with their Nintendo Switch knows well that this will create an audio lag that ruins your experience. Up to this point I have not been able to find a speaker that does not produce this lag. The Bose SoundLink Flex, however, has not produced this audio lag for me at all since I started using it. This is an awesome result and is not supposed to be possible based on the SBC codec that the Switch uses. If you are a Switch user this may solve your problem.

When the Bose SoundLink Flex was introduced in 2021, I was not particularly in the market for a bluetooth speaker. My little Sony speakers met most of my needs and still do situationally.Several months ago, however, I was again looking for an additional bluetooth speaker. My research started with the Bose SoundLink Micro, which I love but is again a situational speaker. After my research ruled out many other brands, and after asking no fewer than several dozen questions of a Bose representative via Facebook Messenger, I ordered a plate-full of crow along with a SoundLink Flex which was on sale.As a matter of full disclosure, I enjoy various genres of music. My natural hearing diminished and has thankfully been restored through bilateral cochlear implants. The cochlear sound differs from natural hearing, though both are similar. With that said, a speaker which produces premium audio quality is crucial. Other necessities are affordability, portability, durability, ruggedness and especially reasonable battery life. The Flex meets all of my needs and is my go-to speaker. The Soundlink Micro, Revolve Plus and Mini II SE speakers are likewise fabulous, but there is only one Flex.My only negative experience with the Flex was purchasing a couple from the Bose Refurbished Store. Fortunately, Bose has fixed the issues with these but henceforth, I will pay a few more bucks and purchase Bose speakers brand new.At present, I own four of these Flex speakers, one of each color variant. I rotate between these and may even consider purchasing a couple more when a bargain can be had.The Flex is lightweight, compact and delivers as advertised. Yes, I still use my other speakers situationally, but again, the Flex is my speaker of choice.Pairing to an iPhone and then the Bose connect app is easy, as is pairing 2 together for stereo. Most reviews speak glowingly of the Flex and for good reason. Plus if there is ever an issue, Bose will absolutely assist with servicing or replacing if need be.So if my review has helped any of you who may be wavering on the Flex, then it was worth every single typing tap. In this price range, the Flex is hands down the very best speaker available.

I needed speakers for my boat, but everything for a boat is way too expensive. These Bose speakers do not disappoint in price and quality. I hung them on both sides of the boat dodger. The sound quality of a single speaker is very good. I bought two of them and I paired them with my iPhone. Bose has an app that allows you to set them up in stereo. When set up this way, the sound quality improves dramatically. They are water resistant (although I did not try to check that. lol). They feel sturdy as well. They come with a strap that I used to hang them. Battery life is excellent. I sailed two days in a row, about 5 hours each day (20 knots winds). The straps held perfectly. At the end of the 2nd day, the battery was down to 40%. It takes a little time to get used to pairing both of them in stereo and, so far, I have not realized how to keep them paired in stereo after I shot them off for a while. I’ll update this review when I find out.I recommend this speaker to anyone who needs a portable speaker to take on nature outings.

When I bought this product, it did not arrive with the USB, I was so upset because I did not have the time to request an exchange as I was only in the country for a few days.I reached out to customer service and they were so professional and helped me resolve the issue. The resent the item so that I could get it before my flight. The sound quality on this is great especially for such a small speaker. There is also a feature to allow you to connect more than one of Bose speakers and use it as a stereo. It is perfect for a house party.

I’m pleased with the sound quality as it’s better than other speakers of this size that I’ve tried. It will not replace larger more expensive speakers, but I got this to have a laptop speaker and it’s size and sound are perfect for this purpose. It was a bit hard to get it connected to bluetooth but after about 15 minutes I got it to work. I wish I didn’t have to use an app to connect it though. This can be used with two devices at one time, and you can also used two of these at once, although it’s not going to be stereo that way.It has a nice balance of bass and tweeters, although the tweeters are slightly tinny at high volume. Small complaint: I wish the USB cord was longer than about 1.5 feet since I plan to keep this plugged in to my laptop. But I’m pleased with this speaker.

I wish I got this Bose speaker sooner! Besides listening to music, which sounds great, I am also finding it very useful to have handy when I am talking on my cell phone. When I use the bluetooth with my cell phone, I can hear the voices more loudly and clearly. People with hearing loss might benefit from this speaker. It is also fun to hear podcasts from my cell phone through the speaker with Bluetooth. I take it into my kitchen and wash dishes with my favorite podcast. What a cool gift this could be for just about any age: teens on up to the elderly.
