Good processor and amount of memory for normal office/student/internet tasks. Good price. I normally deploy Lenovo for work and my only complaints are that the keyboard feels cheap (some keys rattle loosely) and it has an old style charger rather than the usb-c universal style.

Good processor speed, little to no lag time running multiple windows/threads

This is a really nice laptop. We have used HP laptops for years and still using them. Bought this one for my wife for court reporting and works great.

This laptop performs well for basic tasks. I’m glad this has an I5 and not and I3. Im not sure if the included memory can be upgraded. That being said, the included 16GB of Memory helps to handle Adobe Suite pretty well. It does slow a bit when rendering videos which for me is a big test. This comes with enough essentials as far as ports go, 2 USBs a SD slot and a USB C. Theres even an HDMI as a bonus. Thin and Light is the meat of what this laptop is meant to offer. On the downside, to accomplish that this has a plasticky build and the keyboard keys suffer from that in the process. Theres bare minimum feedback when typing. I added a keyboard cover which let me feel like i was actually typing. While theres plenty of space with included HDD, I prefer to use this for my needs with an External drive though.I recieved a weird boot error after restarting from doing the included updates. It went away but definitely gave me pause for a second. Smooth sailing since. What do I like?Thin & Light, USB Ports, Bright Screen. BT. Programs run quickly.Gripes?Plasticky build, Keyboard & Touch pad dont give much feedback. I prefer SD slots that click.Overall, this laptop has plenty of features for you to stay productive on the go and get most tasks done. This would make a great travel laptop. Would this be my workhorse? No. The build quality would need to go up a notch for that. I recommend this at the price point for performance and features.

I’ve been quite pleased with this, and use it alongside my primary laptop – an HP Envy 360. While the chassis is not quite as elegant as the Envy the build quality is quite high and the performance has been great. The display is excellent, really and the provided non-glare finish is really effective. The only nit I can find is that the keyboard is a bit rattle-y for my taste, but it’s not a big deal and shouldn’t stop you. Overall I think this is a great choice for general productivity non-gaming use. Gamers will need to up their budget and find something with better graphics specs.

With a Core i5 processor, 16 gigs of RAM, and 512GB solid-state drive, this laptop is quick, and responsive. The laptop is slim, and comparatively lightweight, with a fit and finish that is very high-grade. This PC’s got two USB-A 3.0 (SS) ports, one USB-C port, SD card support and HDMI out. No optical drive here- and it would be surprising if there were. There’s a dedicated charging port, and a PC-grade power supply is included. A full-sized keyboard with numeric keypad makes this machine easy to work with. The track pad runs smoothly- its buttons are easy and responsive. The display feels big for 15-inches, offering smooth motion graphics and vibrant color. Of course, some of the credit for those smooth graphics has to be given to Intel’s Iris Xe integrated graphics. Iris Xe’s integrated graphics boast performance specs comparable to some of the entry-level discrete graphics cards of some of the biggest manufacturers!… The specs are worth looking into. And the 12th generation Intel Core i5 proc inside this laptop runs at 4.4 GHz! This HP laptop PC comes with Windows 11, Home Edition installed. Not surprisingly, straight out of the box, there were plenty of OS and app updates to be run. But the laptop was quick and efficient in downloading and installing- so the process was pretty painless. I do a lot of audio and video production work with my laptops- podcasting, vodcasting, and editing. This 15-inch HP had no trouble with OBS- running a 2 USB-cam shoot, while simultaneously recording, and live streaming. I was also easily able to accomplish basic video editing tasks- using DaVinci Resolve. Nothing strenuous- just basic cuts, and dissolves for a half-hour HD video file. No 4K material. Of course, basic tasks- such as surfing the web, viewing photos, streaming movies, and running office suites- all are a piece of cake for this machine. It’s quiet, and seems to run cool- except during video editing, of course- then the fan spins up “just a bit”. While it’s true that for editing, larger screens can be a plus (more “real estate” to spread your work), I happen to be a big fan of smaller PCs because of the ease of portability. With that in mind, I really like this new HP laptop. Startup and data access speeds are pretty incredible, thanks to the SSD… and the audio playback quality is quite good, too. Oh, and I don’t want to forget to mention that the battery life on this laptop is also pretty amazing. HP says “up to 7-hours”. I haven’t quite gotten there, yet… but, then again, I don’t think HP was running OBS or DaVinci Resolve when they were testing their battery run-time specs… So I’m gonna’ say this laptop’s battery is pretty good! WiFi is great- there’s 5G support. But if you plan to hard-line this laptop to a router or switch, you’ll need a USB adapter… there’s no ethernet jack. Overall, I really like this laptop. I’m glad I got it, and I’m very happy with it.
