I like the laptop. Screen is big and clear, and the color quality is far better than my previous laptop. I was worried about the colors from some other reviews I had read but there’s nothing wrong with them at all.Ryzen CPU is insane. The speed it manages to achieve while using such little power that the temperature never hits 60c makes the laptop well worth the price just on it’s own. Bootup time from an encrypted disk is only a few seconds and all my programs launch in an instant. The touchpad is too big for it’s own good I think. Any amount of flex from the sides or pressure on the front of the frame will cause it to click and stay clicked until the pressure is removed. Annoying when used on your lap which is what I bought it for. Other than that it’s very responsive and works well.Battery life seems to be pretty good for web browsing and using discord. I don’t watch movies or play games on it and things like that would cut off a couple hours. The wifi card included is the one main issue. It’s garbage. It will not scan and connect for about 15 seconds after booting the laptop, and every few minutes the data rate will drop from 200~ mbit/s to 1mbit/s and stay there for a random amount of time from a couple minutes to over 10 and rebooting/reconnecting does not solve the issue. Even when it’s working it’s nowhere near as fast as my previous laptop’s wifi (and it’s 5 or 6 years old at this point). I knocked one star off for this because it’s extremely annoying and interferes with my work. If replacement wifi cards werent so cheap I would have given three stars.

It suits the purpose that I bought it for.

For my home needs, it’s great. Only regret was I didn’t realize that there was no number pad. But I’ll adapt.

I ordered the AMD 8GB RAM 256GB SSD model but somehow this one came with a 512GB SSD. Which is neat but I already bought a 1TB one for it.The notebook has 2 DDR4 3200mhz RAM slots, upgradable to 64GB (2x32GB).It has an empty 2.5 inch SATA HDD slot next to the battery for storage upgrade.Replacing the NVMe SSD also very simple. Everything is seen as soon as you removed the bottom cover.I remember the mid 2013 Alienware 17 needed to taken apart in order to replace the M.2 SSD and the other slot of RAM.Gaming performance is as great as the steam deck, this notebook has 120Hz screen which makes it better.Speakers are surprisingly alright.Battery life is way better than any intel notebooks.Downsides are there is no more LED indicators for power, HDD status and numlock, at least the caps lock has indicator. The USB A slot are “very tight” to plug in. No ethernet slot. No USB-C charging.

10 year old dell died. this was replacement. I was not used to touch pad or windows 11 so struggled setting up initially. Son had to help me.

I had read a review that disparaged the screen on this Dell, but I am very pleased with it. The fingerprint reader is in an awkward place and I have already disabled it, since it was a hit and miss thing if it would work. But everything else works well. It is not a fancy looking laptop but it is a great choice. (new comment) One question I couldn’t answer right away was about the battery life. I am happy to say it is no doubt the longest lasting battery of any of my previous laptops. I am quite pleased.

I needed a new laptop for my primary use of software development but that could also handle some gaming and media creation. The laptop arrived and out of the box needed a ton of updates. Most of this was handled automatically by the included Windows 11 and Dell support software, including BIOS updates, etc. Fingerprint reader works fine for me as does the trackpad. Hooking up two external monitors with the HDMI and usb-c ports (with a generic DisplayPort adapter from Amazon) was super easy. I even had reasonable performance playing Doom via Steam on a single monitor at 1080p. This isn’t going to be a full on gaming laptop, but it handles my usual light gaming well. The internal SSD is fast and my external SSD performed well at about regular SATA speeds (500mbps r/w).

Casi perfecta

good laptop
hardware is amazing for the price. high refresh rate is amazing on a laptop. only issues i have is battery life, and the chassis of the monitor is flimsy; you can accidentally mouse click just by lifting the laptop and making it bend. you get what you pay for and the price more than makes up for the issues.
