Dell G15 5520 15.6 Inch Gaming Laptop is engineered with FHD 120Hz Non-Touch Display, Core i7-12700H, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 512GB SSD, NVIDIA RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6, Intel Wi-Fi 6, Windows 11.
The Alienware-inspired thermal design delivers exceptional cooling thanks to the dual air intake, ultra-thin fan blades, copper pipes, and four strategically situated vents. As a result, you should expect your system to keep cool as the action heats up. You will enjoy a robust and consistent high-end performance during every gaming session with Intel i7 14-core CPUs and tailored performance settings.
By pressing FN + Game Shift (F9), the Game Shift function activates a dynamic performance mode in the Alienware Command Center, maximizing fan speed to keep your system cool as the processors work harder.

I bought this new from the Dell store through Amazon. For roughly $1,200. I noticed them for $1,000 a day or so later when I was checking the status on a mouse I ordered. Now that mightve been refurbished or something, but still disappointing to me. So I got the computer promptly after ordering it, just like always from Amazon. It was in an un damaged Amazon box, but it was also in a Dell box inside of that, and that box had a small dollar bill sized rip it. Whatever the computer appeared Un damaged. So I use the computer for about a month, a month and 4 days to be exact. Playing mainly World of Warcraft, and other games the laptop is well capable of playing, maybe 5 nights of the week. Anyway, during an update it never would boot back up. After spending 2-4 hours troubleshooting through Dell website and customer service, they suspected that I had a defective SSD. They gave me two options. Either they send me an SSD and I fix it myself or I send the entire laptop back them for repair. I tried to bargain for more, feeling that either of these options seemed unworthy of spending $1,200 dollars on a laptop. So they sent me a box and I sent it to them on a Friday. I just got an email today (The following Tuesday) saying the repair was complete and it was being shipped back to me. The idea of getting the same SSD card that only lasted a month is not very favorable if that is what the repair was. A gift card or store credit for my inconvenience would’ve been nice. Or perhaps an upgraded SSD or next nicer model computer. In the month before it broke it seemed like a nice laptop though, I really enjoyed playing it. We shall see how long it lasts now.

This laptop is another quality product from DELL. I usually prefer the XPS line for both desktop and laptop computers but I wanted a less expensive option for my son so I chose this and I have absolutely no regrets. My only complaint is that it’s a bit heavy but it’s definitely worth every penny. Another satisfied Dell customer.

Great system. Very good performance on gaming and productivity. Tends to run hot and battery life isn’t great but otherwise a solid box.

THE GRAPHICS ARE VERY GOOD AND THE LAPTOP RUNS FAIRLY COOL DESPITE THE MANY HOURS I SPEND ON IT. VERY LITTLE LAG TIME PLAYING GAMES, AND HANDLES STAR TREK ONLINE ON MAX SETTINGS.

I bought this for work and it is a BEAST. Very fast, great graphics, downloads games in a quarter the time my Xbox takes. The keyboard lighting is awesome. It can shuffle through several different colors. The battery life isn’t great, but with so much power I’m not surprised by this. I recommend it if you need a powerful laptop at a reasonable price.

The G-series is Dell’s “affordable” gaming laptop line, unlike Alienware, and in that respect this laptop was completely consistent. It’s good, but not premium, build quality – solid plastic and some metal but nothing makes you doubt it will last. The performance is as-expected for a typical gaming laptop with these specs. Keyboard was pleasant and screen was good but unremarkable. Port selection was very limited but gives you the minimum basics. So yeah, it’s all very serviceable. What I don’t get, though, is that this laptop is priced (at least right now) at exactly the same level as a similarly-specced (or identically-specced) Alienware m-series, which has much better build quality, more ports, and a more advanced cooling system. From the same company. So I’m not sure I see the reason to buy one of these – at least not right now. Maybe I’m missing something. But I returned mine and bought an Alienware for roughly $50 more.
